Just shy of Nine

Wow, I can’t believe it’s been a year since I last updated on here. You’ll be 9 in a couple of months and that blows my mind. You’ve done a lot of growing this year. You’ve gotten so much taller, loving, smart and truly turning into one of my best friends.  This year you have improved in reading so much! You’re officially a book worm and stay up late reading. Your favorite books right now are the Ella Diaries and Ivy and Bean. We have a lot of fun reading together, snuggled in your bed.  You still have a wonderful imagination and still spend hours playing and imagining. You are artistic and always drawing, writing and creating.  You’re a wonderful big sister who loves helping out, you’re up for changing diapers more than Grace. I think you’ll have a lot of kids. And be the best mom!  The other day, I was feeling sad. You wrote me the sweetest note and gave me a hug. You are so aware of others.  You love the water. At our beach vacation this year, you infor...

Ella! I can’t believe you're almost 8. For some reason you are the one child that I can’t believe is getting so big. I just feel like it was yesterday that you were so tiny cuddling in my arms and now when I hold you, you aren’t so little anymore. But holding you is still my favorite thing. I’ll keep holding you like a baby as long as you’ll let me.  You are such a creative person. You are always coloring, making cards/notes, painting. I just love watching you be so creative.  I’ve been volunteering in your class and it’s been so fun to see you with your friends. You have so many good friends and everyone loves you. Your teachers rave about you too. They say you are so kind, a good listener and a very hard worker. You really are an incredibly hard worker. You have improved with reading, speaking and school so much. You had wonderful grades this past semester. I’m so proud of you.  You have the best imagination. I love that you still play with your cars and drive the...

Oh hi Ella!  You have grown a ton in your 5th year! I think you’re going to be our tallest child. You’ve grown out of all your pants. Also, you’ve grown incredibly sweet. You are constantly writing everyone little love notes and creating cool little things out of paper to give to us. I love them so much and try to keep as many of them as I can. You’re also so sweet to make our bed and clean up the play room without being asked. You are in kindergarten now and doing so well! Your teacher says you’re incredibly kind and make friends easily. You were a little hesitant about PE at first, but you’ve been facing your fears and getting braver each week. We started swimming lessons again and you’re wonderful! You jumped to the second level very quickly. You pick things up fast! I love what a goof ball you are. You are always making us laugh. You are very observant and aware of everything going on around you. One thing I love about you is your communication skills! Sheesh, you’re good...
