6 months

Congratulations Ella! You've been alive for a whole half of a year. I LOVE 6 months on you. You're starting to talk to me and it melts my heart. You are still the sweetest little thing, all 14 pounds of you. You are so TINY! For awhile you were in the 8th percentile for weight, but I'm proud to say you've moved up into the 24th percentile. You're growing! Except your head. You just have this little tiny head that's a little too big for your body. I have to take you back in to the doctors in 6 weeks to double check your head to make sure everything is growing right. PLEASE grow little head! You absolutely rocked your 6 month checkout, the doctor exclaimed, "She's 100 percent perfect." Music to my ears. The only stinky part was the five shots you had to have. You were an absolute champ for the first two, but lost it on the rest. It's tough because you don't understand what's happening, you just know something is hurting and you don't know why. My little heart strings were pulled. BUT the great thing is you were over it within minutes. Thank goodness! If you were older, I'd take you to get ice-cream for how brave you were. I guess canned bananas will have to do for now. You are an excellent eater. You eat everything I give you, even if it's not your favorite, like peas. I have discovered your love for mixing foods though! If I mix the peas with the squash you'll eat it with no hesitation. You are happy 99.9% of the time and that is not an overstatement. You really are always so happy. You hardly cry and if you do start crying, all I have to do is smile, or laugh or sing and you're good as new. Can you tell that I absolutely adore you? You are so easy going. You're fine on your own, I can set you down anywhere with a toy and you'll stay there happy as a clam. You've got the rolling back and forth down. And you can even sit up with no assistance for a few long seconds.Now do you see why I love 6 months so much?! You still adore your sister and think she's the greatest. You also have a pretty big soft spot for dad, and vice versa of course. Before you came, I couldn't imagine having another person in the family, I didn't think I could love someone as much as gracie, BUT now I can't even begin or think about life without you. You've made our family complete. Your hair is still a fierce red and your eyes are a crystal blue. I hope you keep both. I love you my sweet Eleanor.

 Ella! I can’t believe you're almost 8. For some reason you are the one child that I can’t believe is getting so big. I just feel like it was yesterday that you were so tiny cuddling in my arms and now when I hold you, you aren’t so little anymore. But holding you is still my favorite thing. I am loving 3 months. You are the cutest baby. I know everyone says that about their babies, but seriously you are the cutest. I told dad the other day that I'm obsessed with you and want a thousand more babies because of you.We just got back from taking you on your very first trip to Anna Maria. I could travel everyday with you! You made it that easy. Thanks Ella. I joke that you were like me emotional support animal. Ha. I don't really like airplanes, they make me nervous. But having you glued to me the entire trip actually helped me feel more calm inside. You ate an slept the whole time, no time for nonsense like crying. I changed all your diapers on my lap, minus one poopy one that dad so graciously offered to change in the tiny bathroom. Bless his heart. We survived Universal Studios together as well. TODAY is your 8 Month birthday, and poor thing, you're sick. You are handling it like a champ though. I tried as hard as I could to keep you well, but your dear sister brought home a cold and the rest is history. You are still the happiest little soul, even if you are sick. These past 8 months with you have been blissful. You are a special little person, with a beautiful personality. I just LOVE being around you. You don't say much, but if smiles could talk! You have the biggest smile and are constantly giving it. Your sister still gets the most smiles and laughs though. You absolutely adore her, and vice versa. You two are going to move mountains together. You balance each other out and compliment each other perfectly. I've loved watching your relationship bloom.
