16&17 Months
Hi baby
Today Dad said, "Ella is changing isn't she? She seems to understand more." I couldn't agree more. Something clicked recently and you just seem so grown up. It's much easier to communicate with you and for you to communicate with us. I feel like most of the time I understand what you are needing. Something sad happened though, You fell down the stairs and fractured your wrist. It was so sad. I'm super grateful that was all that was hurt. You were such a champ going to the doctor and getting a splint put on. I feel like you just understood that we were just trying to help your hurt arm and not torture you. You have to wear it for four weeks. You have 2.5 weeks left. You got this! It hasn't seemed to bother you much so far, hopefully it stays that way. You are just the cutest thing ever, you love to way at people and say bye bye. When Dad leaves in the morning, you walk him to the door and wave and say bye bye until the garage closes and it's just the sweetest thing ever. Especially when you wave with your little cast arm. You love going bye bye yourself and go get your shoes when we're getting ready to go. You also put your shoes away when we get home. You are such a smart little thing. You love to help out with jobs, unloading the dishwasher, wiping up messes, helping with the laundry and throwing away garbage. You and grace have been playing a lot better together lately. I mean don't get me wrong you are still super emotional and have your moments. But they are getting less and less. We've been going camping this summer and you've loved it. You get super messy, but you just enjoy being with your family. We also did a Mommy and Me swimming class this summer that you didn't exactly enjoy. Some days you did better than others, but most of the time you just let me know how much you didn't enjoy it. BUT, you did jump into the water and go under the water multiple times. I've learned that you do what you want when you want. You are still an excellent eater , you've mastered walking and you are an awesome sleeper! We love you and can't imagine our family without you!
